About Lane

McKibben Lane Elementary School strives to implement a sequential curriculum which affords each child the opportunity to achieve maximum potential in terms of his/her unique intellectual, physical, emotional, and social development. It is this belief in the worth and dignity of each student that guides our pursuit of an educational program which addresses individual differences.

We recognize the school's responsibility to inspire each child with an understanding of the fundamental concepts of our democratic society. This knowledge provides the student a foundation upon which to build his/her life as a productive citizen, as well as a desire for continued learning in today's changing world.

The presence of multi-ethnic groups and the differing socio-economic levels of our students provide opportunities for cultural exchanges in the school and community. It is important to furnish each child positive experiences in dealing with these differences within the total school environment, thus encouraging mutual understanding and respect.

It is imperative that a cooperative atmosphere prevail between school, home, and community in attempting to achieve our mutual goals. This partnership is essential in assisting the child to acquire sound work habits, social habits, attitudes, and skills which prepare him/her for self realization and maximum contribution to society.
